Starting in September, the ministry will pilot-launch an AI-based price-checking application (app) that compares supermarket prices of agricultural and livestock products in real time. It also plans to expand the adoption of AI technology at agricultural and livestock production sites to boost productivity. On the 16th at the Blue House, during a second-half work briefing attended by President Lee Jae-myung, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced a plan centered on these measures. To expand the adoption of AI technology at agricultural and livestock production sites, the share of smart agriculture (greenhouses) based on facility horticulture area, currently at 20%, will be raised to 35% by 2030. The ministry also plans to tighten the reins on NongHyup reform in the second half.
